How to make Finger Paint
February 20th 2007 02:34
Finger paint is an ever-popular activity to do with older babies and toddlers. Most littlies love it and it’s a great introduction to drawing and writing. My toddler still prefers fingers to the paintbrush. I guess it’s just way more fun to get down and dirty!
Why not try this make at home recipe for finger paint (with the added bonus that you don’t need to worry if a bit gets eaten along the way).
What you’ll need:
1 cup cornflour
3 cups water
food colouring
Mixing bowl
What to do:
Mix the cornflour in a little cold water to make a smooth white paste
Add boiling water gradually, stirring constantly until the paste thickens
Add colour of your choice

My children love painting (and love getting mucky) so I will definitely be trying this recipe out.
Thanks.

Great, I hope they enjoy it! My daughter got an easel for Christmas and she's been loving finger painting on big sheets of paper.
